The Star Spangled Banner

4th of July 2Everyone who’s ever been to a sporting event knows the first verse of The Star Spangled Banner.  But do you know the second verse … the third … the fourth?

Francis Scott Key didn’t write a song that night in Baltimore.  He wrote a poem.  And if you haven’t heard all of the verses, you can’t appreciate with what poetic power he captured not just that epic night, but the essence of the American idea.

Be lifted by your National Anthem, as harmonized by Annie Boxell.
